Outerstuff partnered with McLaren and FIFA to create a customized fashion line for the brands, and came to Zeelum to photograph all of the new designs in an editorial and promotional creative shoot. I was tasked with taking in every sample of the two main lines and curating trendy, sporty, cohesive outfits for five select models.
I was allotted a lot of creative freedom this shoot with the only requirement that every single sample be used in at least one outfit for both lines. I created mood boards and showcased the vision I had to clients. I purchased shoes, socks, underpinnings etc. keeping in mind that the client wanted mostly their products used.
I created an excel sheet with each sample, the outfits I had put together, how many times each sample was used, and which models wore each item/outfit. The creative team worked together to decide backdrop color, lighting, and model pairings for couples shots.
The brand image for McLaren was edgy, young, dark, and cool. While the brand image for FIFA was sporty, athletic, girl/boy next door, and fun.
I pivoted on set several times to ensure everything was perfect and discussed with client’s any changes they wanted to make or changes I would recommend.
